At the Forefront of 21st Century Gaming
On March 15th 2001, the first official version of the website you are currently using was launched. We are now nearly 20 years on from that historic day. For the past two decades, TAW has pioneered hundreds of gaming divisions, with thousands of members joining along the way. Some of us have been here for years, some just a few weeks, yet all of us have contributed to what TAW it is today. This momentous occasion will not pass without celebration, Starting March 7th, you can expect a jam packed week of events, videos, streams and prizes.
What to expect
Event Opening: New Shop and Fundraiser
The week of events will be opened up Sunday night by our CiC MaverickSabre. This will be followed by an introduction to this years fundraiser from Caaran, a look at TAW's brand new shop and an update from Army Command.
Games Night
All of your favourite games packed into one night. A plethora of activities will be available to take part in, no matter your genre of choice, you'll find something that fits your style. On the night, you can choose from Jackbox Party Packs, Among Us, Dead by Daylight, Minecraft Mini-games and Minecraft Survival.
Battlefield 5
On the 24th of July 2002, Battlefield 1942 was added as a division into TAW. Now in 2021, we're celebrating Battlefield 5 still being among our numbers in a massive community match up. We'll be diving into matches together in as many squads as possible!
History of TAW
It's important to know your roots, so we'll be reeling through the years and picking out some favourite moments over the last two decades. This will be followed by an open Q&A session with some of TAW's longest serving members!
CC Scrim & TFO Scrim
Two match ups in one night. We have the CCs going up against the Overwatch division in their own game, followed by a head to head match up of TFOs in Counter Strike: Global Offensive. All streamed and shout-casted on TAWTV. Prepare for bloodshed!
Karaoke Night
A TAW favourite, Karaoke night is one to put in your calendars. Belt out your favourite solo, duets and mosh pits, in a staple TAW event.
24-Hour Livestream
Starting early Saturday Morning, TAWTV will be running a variety of streams with prizes, with all donations going towards the fundraiser. You can find a full list of the stream schedule here.
TAW@WAR
It wouldn't be a celebration without TAW's signature event. This time up, be prepared to see Team Fortress 2 come back into the limelight. Teams will compete to prove they're the best in TAW and receive the TAW-Wide Tournament Medal from the CiC.
All Hands Meeting
On the final day of celebrations, we'll come together for an all hands meeting to pay thanks to those who served in TAW over the last 20 years.
