Vanguard is currently on the lookout for any members interested in becoming a Server Technician. The Server Technician role has a wide variety of responsibilities, these can range from the creation of a new Discord server to working closely with SULs to ensure their Discord server is correctly formatted and answering any questions, queries or concerns that they may have.

What is the Server Technician responsible for?  

• Creating new Vanguard Discord servers for teams entering Horizon using a pre-created template.
• Assisting the SULs in the management of Discord Bots and Web-hooks.
• Working with and assisting SULs on the management of their Discord server
• Creating and ensuring Vanguard server related documents are up to date and relevant
• Conducting meetings with SULs to ensure they’re up to date with any Discord server related requirements
• Troubleshooting issues that may arise with the Vanguard Discord servers or Bots/Webhooks

The Vanguard ST will be required to have a basic understanding of Discord. Applicants don't need to be tech experts, but show interest in how it all works. An understanding of Discord Bots and Webhooks is preferred but not required. Training will be provided regarding adding/managing Bots and Webhooks on the Vanguard Discord servers.
