Possible fix for ProMod on Windows 10
Hey,
As I heard tonight, Windows 10 has ProMod related issues. That might be related with system's failure to launch the mod. The shortcut of the game can be changed to directly launch the mod. So, copy the shortcut of the game and edit the new shortcut's target like that:
etqw.exe +set fs_game etqwpro

Cheers!
Re: Possible fix for ProMod on Windows 10
As it turned out connecting NA server of TAW ETQWPro would crash the game and mess up the config which would prevent the mod launching. So, if anyone is experiencing problems with launching the Pro mod, delete cfg files in the configuration folder of the mod:

Re: Possible fix for ProMod on Windows 10
As it turned out Windows 10 Creators Update causes tons of issues with ETQW mods and custom maps. I found a solution for mods with vanilla maps, but aside from downgrading Windows 10 build, using Windows 7/8.1, switching Linux or Mac, there is no definitive solution for custom maps at the moment.

Re: Possible fix for ProMod on Windows 10
The problem is that Creator Update blocks the auto-restart of the game which is resulted with crash. Mods can avoid crash by direct launching by editing game shortcut. However, custom maps require yet another restart which is hard to avoid. Unfortunately, there is no easy solution to get away with that on Creators Update. There are people with Creators Update that can play custom maps but there are also few people could never fix the problem on Creators Update; so the solutions are not reliable; maybe edition related. Some people are still working on the issue but at the moment the only workarounds are downgrading to Anniversary Update, downgrading to Windows 7 or 8.1, switching to Linux or switching to Mac. Fall Creators Update is on the way but as I tried to most recent preview releases of Windows Insider; the crash issue is still there. Sorry...
Re: Possible fix for ProMod on Windows 10
Thanks for the info. It sounds like the mod restart issue is compounded by the custom maps. While I prefer the vanilla maps with generally better balance, it would suck not having the ability to run custom maps. Hopefully we can submit bug to MS and get this fixed eventually.
