Call of Duty: WWII - New Blitzkrieg Event

Activision and Sledgehammer Games have officially announced the details of the new The Blitzkrieg in-game event for Call of Duty: WWII.

The Blitzkrieg event is available in-game from April 17 through May 8.

The event features the return of Ground War, the 9v9 game mode, alongside introducing Headquarters as a free, permanent map playable in Prop Hunt, Free for All, and Gun Game modes. In addition, there is an option to play Ground War (9v9) on the War Operations.

Alongside this, Captain Butcher is back as the Quartermaster with all new customization content and new weapons.

Six new weapons are being introduced as well:

• ITRA Burst Assault Rifle
• M2 Carbine Assault Rifle
• Type 5 Assault Rifle
• Type 38 Sniper Rifle
• Sterling SMG
• Baseball Bat

There will also be Community Challenges for free items.
