Battlefield 2042 - Tuesday Training 6/27 -7/25
Upcoming Battlefield 2042 Training Events
June 27th: Santiago “Dozer” Espinoza
July 11th: Rasheed Zain
July 18th: Emma “Sundance” Rosier
July 25th: Webster Mackay
For these four events, we will be focusing on the assault class. Which means we will start out talking about what the assault class is, the weapons that the assault specialists are proficient with, and what the class as a whole receives as a specialty over warfare.
For the next four events (not including July 4th), we will be focusing on the Assault Class.
Here’s some information!
Specialists within the assault class have proficiency with all assault rifles. This means that if you are utilizing any of the assault rifles while playing one of the four specialists listed above, you will receive extra ammunition for your weapon! Each of the specialists will also have self-healing gear, which means if you get hit, you can heal yourself without having to wait for a medic (take in mind, there is a cooldown).
Within the assault class, there are four gadgets available for use. These are the Smoke Launcher (which is pretty accurate to the name of the gadget), the IBA Armor Plater (this will provide more protection so you take a little longer to be killed), C5 Explosive (for those rambunctious of us to want to get close enough to vehicles to slab three of these down to destroy them), and the M18 Claymore (pretty much for those who want to trap a door or entrance or a random area, or if you want to just sit around and camp, this is a good gadget!).
There are five throwables available to the assault class. The Frag Grenade (it go boom), the Smoke Grenade (it go… uhm, puff? It blocks the visual for pretty much everyone, even those using thermals, it’s weird), the Concussion Grenade (it really bright and make things difficult to do for anyone around it.. yeah), the Throwing Knife (yes, you can pick these back up after throwing them, just good luck finding it if you miss), and the Incendiary Grenade (it make fire).
Santiago “Dozer” Espinoza:
-
This character is a beast of a specialist in the assault class. Dozer utilizes a SOB-8 Ballistic Shield, which can act as a battering ram, protects the player from incoming damage of gunfire and even some heavier rounds (yes, we tested multiple rounds and have found that this shield is insanely tough), and you can get yourself up close and personal with the enemy to deliver a fatal blow. Another perk is his Blast Resistance, when explosives are going off around him, he won’t take as much damage as other specialists, even while not using the shield!
Rasheed Zain:
-
This character is a tactical one, and uses his XM370A Airburst Launcher to deliver fatal blows from up to 100m away! This is a semi-automatic launcher that can flush out enemies who are behind cover, and when I say flush out, I mean take them down (if aimed properly!). His character trait is Perseverance. This means that he will recover his health faster after taking down an enemy, which also makes him pretty good at being up close and personal, too!
Emma “Sundance” Rosier:
-
This character is one for the skies. She utilizes a grenade system called the scatter grenades that will scatter (and yes, the initial scattering of the grenades will do damage!) to deal some massive damage to other players and even decent damage to vehicles! Her special trait is known as wingsuit operator, or as I like to call her “Squirrel Suit Girl”. Take to the sky and use the wingsuit to put yourself further into combat than if you were to use a parachute!
Webster Mackay:
-
This character is basically Spiderman! He utilizes a grappling hook which can help him reach higher places, get to vehicles quicker, or be quirky and get himself snagged into a rock in cover for a great sniping position! His special trait is known as Nimble, which means that he can move a lot quicker while aiming down sights, which can be a great tool when trying to get through a building or taking shots at multiple enemies while on the move!
Each of these four specialists are solid in their own regards, but have weaknesses. For one, Dozer can be taken out by shooting his feet if he is not crouched down while holding his shield.
The idea of this month's training is to provide anyone who is wanting to learn more about Battlefield 2042 and the specialists and weapons available and give a place and time to learn with others. This is a perfect time to come in, ask questions, add comments, or even give us some feedback on how we write these posts.
Feel free to join us in the Battlefield 2042 Forward Operating Center every Tuesday between 8PM (2000) and 9PM (2100) CDT! We look forward to training with you!
